The annual cultural event of ‘Valvettithurai cultural organization’ was held on day before yesterday, 1st Jan 2016, at Revady Beach, Valvettithurai. The event was headed by Mr.M.Sulaxan, the head of the Cultural organization, where Mr.S.Varatheeswaran (Secretary to the Chief Minister, Northern Provincial Council) participated as Chief Guest and Valvettithurai based Notable artist Mr.K.N.Devathaas and Musical instructor Mrs.Thuvaragi Gnanachanthiran participated as special guests.
The events commenced at about 1700 hours, by welcoming the guests from Amman Kovil with the traditional musical play and various dances.
Having lighted the auspicious lamp at the site of the stage, the 6th successful cultural events continued with many programmes including awarding the winners for the best achievements, publishing a magazine called 'Neithal' in Tamil.
The event continued till 2330 hours by ending a drama in half way due to the time restriction given by VVT police, based on existing a court order.
