It is not easy for the Outboard Yamaha motor, Traditional Chariot, Cart, Pyramid, Boat, etc. But it was made possible in the way of handmade Kites at Valvettithurai in Jaffna, Srilanka. The theory of air flowing over and under the kite’s wing producing low pressure above the wing and high pressure below to them could be achieved for a symmetrical two dimensional kite, but it is far to difficult for a three dimensional complicated structure – what mostly seen in Valvettithurai Kite festival 2016 during Thaipongal day – the cultural and auspicious day of Tamils.
The Photo below show the skill and hard work used for making some the Kites participated during the last kite festival, which once again proves the inherent talent of Valvettithurai Youth, who were neither taught by any experts nor attended any classes to make those successful kites.
