Canada Valvettiturai annual winter get together held

The annual winter get together of Valvettithurai Welfare association (Canada) was held at Etobicoke, Canada on 23rd Jan 2016, the event commenced at about 1700 hours headed by Mr.Vishnusuntharam Selvam, the president of Valvettithurai welfare association of Canada.
The event was marked by releasing a commemorative stamp, recognized by Canadian Government, on Florence C Robinson ex Annapurani, the historical sailing vessel of Valvettithurai, which had made a journey from Srilanka to Western coast of America 77 years ago
The event continued till late night with prize giving ceremony for the winning students in ‘Maths Challenge 2015’ and awarding ceremony.
