Deepavali (Diwali), the festival of lights, celebrated by Hindus in India, Srilanka and around the world, was celebrated in Dalian, China. The event was organized by an Indian merchant, who is owning restaurants in Dalian, on yesterday evening, where special pooja had taken pace toward the festival.
Over 200 persons incuding Indian,Russian, Chinese and many other nationalities were witnessed the events that lasted till 2200 hours.
Deepavali is dedicated to the triumph of goodness over evil and knowledge over ignorance. It honours the goddess of wealth, Lakshmi, and the legend of Rama and Sita.
Being in an starategic place and having couple of world largest univercities, Dalain attracts many students. Dalian also is considered to be leading in the ship building.
