Fisherman missing off Valvettithurai Seas, boat found capsized

A fisherman is reported to be missing off Valvettithurai Seas today. Mr.Arulanantham Gnanamurthy, age of 54 and father of four children, from Athikovil of Valvettithurai, Jaffna, had gone for fishing from Athikovil yesterday night in his own boat.
Fellow fishermen have spotted his boat today early morning, which had been capsized and drifting away.
The capsized boat had been towed to the shore and Search operation is now underway by fellow fishermen for rescuing the missing person.
It may be recalled that last year a fisherman in the same sea died due to the lightening attack during a bad weather caused by a Cyclone in Bay of Bengal.
