Jaffna Youths honoured for participating in National level Cricket

Jaffna youths who had participated in the national level cricket tournament, organised by National Youth Services Council, were honoured yesterday at Valvettithurai. The event that took place in VVT new market auditorium was headed by Mr.Sathees, the president of ‘Kazhukukal’ sports club, where Mr.M.K.Sivajilingam, the member of NPC, Mr.Sukirthan, Mr.Sivayokam, Mr.Vinthan had participated as Chief guests.
Jaffna district youths played against Gampaha district youths in the semi final of the tournament, held in the South - at Hambantota several days ago, however Jaffna youths had walked out from the ground in midway, thus taking third place in National level.
Senthuran and Nanthabalan of Kazhukukal Sports club and Ranjith Kumar of Nediyakadu sports club were too the players among the youths represented Jaffna team in the tournament.
Mrs.Kiriya Vasuthevan and many others participated in the yesterday event that was organised by Kazhukukal Sports Club.
