Maaveerar Naal - Great heroes day - obeserved today at Thiruvil, Valvettithurai.
Main oil lamp was lit at 06:05 by Mr. Ruban, father of Kantharuban - a Sea tiger, who died at Valvettithurai seas in 1990.
Hundreds of people, mainly youths, witnessed the event.
