நாளை மறுதினம் கனடாவின் 42 ஆவது ஒண்டாரியோ மாநில பொதுத் தேர்தலில் (42nd Ontario general election) இலங்கை வல்வெட்டித்துறையைப் பூர்வீகமாகக் கொண்ட விஜய் தணிகாசலம் என்னும் இளைஞர் போட்டியிடுகின்றார்.
Ontario PC Party (Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario) சார்பில் போட்டியிடும் Toronto Scarborough வின் Rouge Park தொகுதியில் இவர் போட்டியிடுகின்றார்.
ஒண்டாரியோ பாராளுமன்றத்துக்கு இடம்பெறும் இந்தத் தேர்தலில் மொத்தம் 124 பாராளு மன்ற உறுப்பினர்கள் (Member of Provincial Parliament - MPP) தெரிவு செய்யப்படவுள்ளனர்.
