The last day annual festival - holy bath festival (Therththam in Tamil) of Thondaimanaru Selva Sannathi Murugan temple was held today morning at about 0730 hours. The festival has witnessed thousands of devotees, where temple premises and all the roads leading to the temples were seen packed with devotees.
The chief Deity, Lord Muruga’s ‘Vel” was taken from the temple at about 0700 hours to the site of the event, where holy bath festival held amid Harohara slogans of surrounded devotees.
As a part of today festival, “Mouna thiruvizha” (called “Festival of silence” in English) is scheduled to take place today evening at about 1700 hours.
Another special event held for the volunteers of this temple will be held tomorrow night.
