Valvettithurai based US citizens, Mr and Mrs Keethan on today has come in support of people affected by the floods in Polikandy of Valvettithurai, by donating relief kit costs Rs 25,000/-.
The relief kits which mainly consists of dry food were handed over to the affected people directly by Us in the presence of relevant G.S (J/393) Mr.Thavanesan, today at about 1100 hours.
The active North east monsoon continues to lash Northern Srilanka for last few days, including Jaffna peninsula, leaving several hundreds of families to internally displace, due to the flooding in various parts of Jafna Peninsula.
