Valvettithurai annual kite festival 2023 commences

“Thaipongal” Annual kite festival 2023, jointly organized by “Valvai Vikneswara community Centre’ and 'Valvai uthayasooriyan sports club' commences at Valvettithurai Uthayasooriyan beach, Jaffna on today 15th Jan 2023, witnessing participation of thousands of people from various parts of Jaffna Peninsula.
The event headed by Mr.Sivamayam (President of the Community Centre) commenced at about 1400 hours, where Mr. M Selvasivam and Mrs. Sothi Narayanasamy participate as Chief Guest and Mr. K. M. A. K Bandara (Assistant Superintendent of police, KKS Division III), Azhwarpillai Sri (Divisional Secratriat, Point Pedro), Former MP M. K Sivajilingam and Valvettithurai Urban council Chairman Mr. Suren participate as special guests.
In addition to this Kite festival, the event is to continue with a Honoring ceremony, for those who made achievements in studies.
