Valvettithurai gears up for the annual great festival

The great festival (Called Inthira Vizha in Tamil) of Valvettithurai Sri Muthumariamman temple is scheduled to take place tomorrow at Valvettithurai. The celebration that used to be on the last day annual festival of Valvettithurai Sri Muthumari Amman temple would commence just after the sunset, in the stretch of two kilometers on the Point Pedro – KKS main road.
Organizers are arranging number of various programmes in 10 stages at the various locations along the Point Pedro – KKS road, including at 2 newly renovated beaches. The roads are expected to close in order to facilitate the events.
The festival considered as the single largest unique festival in Jaffna Peninsula is expected to draw thousands of people to witness the event.
