"Thaipongal” Annual kite festival 2024, jointly organized by “Valvai Vikneswara community Centre’ and 'Valvai Uthayasooriyan sports club' commences today at Valvettithurai, Uthayasooriyan beach, Jaffna, witnessing participation of thousands of people from various parts of Jaffna Peninsula.
The event headed by Mr.P. Thuraiselvam (President of the Community Centre) commenced at about 1300 hours, where Mr. Ambalavanar Sivabalasuntharam (GA, Jaffna district) participates as Chief Guest and Mr. S. Sathyaselan (Divisional Secretariat, Vadamaradchi North) and Mrs Tharsini Nitharsan (Secratry, Valvettithurai Urban council) participates as special guest.
In addition to this Kite festival, the event is to continue with a Honoring ceremony, for those who made achievements in studies.
