Valvettithurai Urban Council honours Sivajilingam

Members of Valvettithurai Urban Council, headed by Mr.N.Anantharaj, the present Chairman of the Valvettithurai Urban Council, have honoured Mr.M.K.Sivajilingam for getting elected in the North Provincial Council election held in last September. 

 

The event took place yesterday morning at about 1100 hours, where Mr.N.Anantharaj, who was the rival of Mr.M.K.Sivajilingam,

had welcome Mr.Sivajilingam by garlanding. The members of UC including Mr.Sathish, who is the present vice chairman of Valvettithurai Urban Council, and Mrs.Kirija Vasanthakumar and the staff of Urban Council were present at the event, which had lasted till 1300 hours.

 

Mr.Sivajilingam, who is an ex-parliamentarian and chairman of the Valvettithurai Urban Council, has won in the recently held NPC election as predicted, even though a silent propaganda was made by some elements to prevent him from entering into NPC, prior to the election.
