The reader’s comments as follows;
Thank u for this article.VVT council should take action and be the example for other parts of Jaffna by protecting and stopping each & every drop of rain water wasted by getting in to the sea.This can be diverted in to the tanks(kulam) available within the council area or in the low level areas within the council limit.at the last resort the dams such as next to Kandavanam temple,Uthayasooriyan dam in Mathavady & the mathavady in periakadatkarai in Thondaimanaru can be converted into tanks(kulam).Also can put up a permanent wall in sinnakkadatkarai, Thondaimanaru to stop the flowing rain water into the sea.
