Valvettithurai UC budget defeated for the 2nd time by 3 votes

The TNA controlled Valvettithurai urban council budget for the next year of 2014 was defeated for the second time with 3 majority votes on last 17th, where there were 02 votes for the budget and 05 votes against it and 2 members of EPDP were refrained from casting the vote.
The meeting for passing the Budget for the next year of 2014 was held under the chairmanship of Mr.N.Anantharaj, who is the Chairman of Valvettithurai UC on 17th December 2013 morning at the Urban Council.
Deputy Chairman Mr.Satheesh and another 4 TNA members, namely Mr.S.X.Kulanayakam (JP and Administrative secretary of Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kadchi), Mr.K.Karunanatharasa, Mr.M.Mayuran and Mr.S.Piratheepan had joined with their TNA members to vote against the budget, while Chairman Mr.N.Anantharaj and another TNA member Mr.K.Jeyaraja had voted for the budget, thus defeating the budget for the second time with 3 majority of votes.
2 members of EPDP, namely Mr.P.Thivendran and Mrs.I.Kailajini were refrained from casting the vote.
It is learnt that the relevant budget is scheduled to be voted again, however the date is yet to be confirmed.
