General information exam (GIT), for the Grade 12 students, has been held Island wide today. General Information Technology (GIT) was first introduced in 2002 and first examination on new syllabus was held in 2010.
The Students from Chithambara College and Valvai Magalir Magavithyalayam have appeared for the exam in Uduppiddy Boys and Girls school respectively.
All the ‘AB’ and ‘C’ Grade Schools are required to conduct course on GIT for Grade 12 Students, who appear for their A/L exam a year later. Chithambara is AB grade school and Valavai Magalir is C grade school in Valvettithurai.
