Valvettithurai UC budget passed, 5 members denied access to vote!

The TNA controlled Valvettithurai urban council budget for the next year of 2014 was passed at the second reading today at about 1000 hours. 3 members have voted favourably, including a member of EPDP, where another EPDP member refrained from casting the vote.
Deputy Chairman Satheesh and another 4 TNA members, namely S.X.Kulanayakam K.Karunanatharasa, M.Mayuran and S.Piratheepan had been denied access for casting the votes by group of people to enter into the UC complex where the debate was to be held.
Attempts made by Valvettithurai police were too unsuccessful to get access to the 5 members who belongs TNA.
The 1st reading of the Budget for the next year of 2014 was held on last 17th, where there were only 02 votes for the budget and 05 votes against it and 2 members of EPDP were refrained from casting the vote, thus 5 extra votes had ensured that the first reading of the budget held on 17th December was defeated.
