The member of Northern Provincial Council, Mr.M.K.Sivajilingam has denied the allegations published in numbers of media, especially in the electronic media yesterday, over the protest held by group of people on 27th of December, in front of the Valvettithurai Urban council complex.
It was alleged that Mr.Sivajilingam had requested the police to forcibly disperse the group of people, who were protesting against 5 TNA’s Valvai urban council members, who were present at the entrance of the UC complex in order to attend the second reading of the budget and cast their votes.
Mr.Sivajilingam, who spoke with us yesterday, said that he categorically denies the above allegation published in the media against him.
“It was baseless and a false propaganda” said Mr.Sivajilingam, who is the former parliamentarian and also the former Valvettithurai Urban council member, resigned recently from Valavai UC after got elected into NPC.
