Annual cultural event of 'Valvai Kalai Ilkkiya Manram’ ' held yesterday

Annual cultural event of 'Valvai Kalai Ilkkiya Manram’ ' held yesterday, on 01st of January 01-01-14 at Nediyakadu Pillaiyar temple road, Valvettithurai. The events had commenced at 16.00 hours.
 
The event was headed by R.Makinthan, head of the 'Valvai Kalai Ilkkiya Manram’ Professor N.Shanmukalingan (Vice chancellor, Jaffna University), Mr.P.Meendchi sundram (JP) and Mr.S.Sivabalasingam (ex G/S I/393, Polikandy west) had participated as Chief guests
 
The event commenced at VVT junction, by inviting the Guests from VVT junction to Nidiyakatu Pillaiyar temple, where the stage program were taken place.
 
Having commenced with lighting of traditional oil lamp, Silent Prayer and Thamizh mozhi vazhthu, and the event had continued to Speeches, Dances, Musical program, Dance drama and poetry form etc.
 
Various traditional art events were performed in the street, by various 'Art groups of Valvttithurai', while inviting the guests to the stage.
 
‘Valvai Kalai ilkkiya Manram’ had released their yearly publication named 'Neithal', during the events.
