The final match of Valvai Sports club’s football championship trophy, organized by Valvai Sports club, was held yesterday in the Rainbow Sports club’s ground at Valvettithurai.
Palali Vinmeen Sports club assured their place in the final with a winning goal of 2:1 to defeat Uduppiddy Navajevans Sports club.
The tournament, 7 – a – side matches on knock out basis, had commenced on 3rd of February 2014, where 32 teams of Point Pedro Foot ball league have participated.
The tournament is sponsored by Well wish medical centre of Valvettithurai.
Foot ball is considered as the most popular sporting event in Valvettithurai, which is having number of Sports clubs area wise.
