Thondaimanaru over head water tank construction, part of ' Valvettithurai water supply project' is nearing completion?. This one of the major development project has been implemented by Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Water Supply and Drainage, along with some other several water supply projects.
The project comprises, construction of over head tank, office buildings, stores and staff quarters, laying of transmission and distribution main, construction of pump house and installation of Machinery and Electrical equipments.
It is learnt that the Valvettithurai water supply project has been implemented at a cost of Rs. 348.57 million. When the project is completed 10,000 people in Thondamanaru North, Kirudavil South and North, Valvettithurai Northwest, North Central and North East, Polikandi West and East and Kampamali in Point Pedro Divisional Secretariat Division will benefit.
It should be noted that laying of Pipe lines, as part a part of this project, has been completed in VVT areas a year ago.
