A blood drive has been arranged at the Valvettithurai Oorani hospital today by Hospital Authorities and VAISWA (Valvai Seaman Welfare Asociation), which commenced at about 0900 hours by fulfilling the requirements.
About 46 donors, including Army personnel of Valvettithurai Army Camp, have donated their blood.
The blood drive is undertaken by Orani Hospital Authorities, along with one social organization on four monthly basis since long ago and it continues to be successful.
Recently a couple of blood donors from the Valvettithurai Urban council area has been awarded by the President office for donating blood for many times.
