Veteran Artist T.Nadarasa is honored with Kalapusanam award

Veteran artist Thillaiyambalam Nadarasa (Sivalingam) has been awarded with ‘Kalaa pusana’ (கலாபூசணம் in Tamil) this year of 2014.
The 65-year-old artist, a symbol of simple, had captivated many audiences in the last 40 years, towards number of traditional arts, including 'Udukku' and 'Silmapaddam'.
Mr.Nadarasa is living in Polikandy, Valvettithurai and is still got engaged with practicing with his art.
‘Kalaa pusana’ is a popular award given to the artist who served for the arts field in the Island. The award giving ceremony was held last week in Colombo.
