Students who have passed out G.C.E (O/L) were honored with awards by VEDA (Valvai Educational development association), on 25th of August.
The event took place at VEDA’s complex, Kottangkallady, Vevil lane, Valavettithurai, where Thandapaanika thesikar – the chief priest of Valvai Sri Muthumariyamman temple, Mr. N. Anatharaj, Chairman of Valvettithurai Urban council, principals, teachers, parents, representative of Valvai Sport clubs, representative of libraries were present so as to encourage the event.
The Students were congratulated by the Priest of Valvai Sri Muthumariyamman temple, Mr.N.Anantharaj – Chairman of Valvettithurai Urban council and the Principals of Valvai Chithambara college, Valval Mahalir Maha vidyalayam and Valvai Sivaguru Vidthyasalai, who had participated as guests at the event.
Others who were highly commended were teachers of VEDA and VEDA officials for bringing up VEDA in last 3 years, with a great achievement of 100 percentages of pass of the Students, who had appeared for G.C.E (O/L) examination last year.
The event had lasted for 3 hours, where VEDA officials, along with their teachers, had a discussion with the parents separately.
VEDA is a nonprofit organization, which is trying to bring up educational standards in Valvettithurai area. VEDA is presently funded by a Valvai welfare organization of UK.
