Shown in the photos below is the first Radio brought and used in Valvettithurai.
The Radio had been brought to Valvettithurai about 72 years ago by Mr.Amman Sellaththurai. It is learnt from senior citizens of VVT that it was the only means widely used during first world war to get to know the news.
